ITF STCW guide book

In June 2010 a diplomatic conference in Manila adopted a set of far-reaching amendments to the 1978 International Convention on Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, known as the STCW Convention. This convention was adopted as one of the mainstays of the global maritime regulatory system and is in force today.

The International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) commissioned us to design this concise guidebook to help seafarers understand the revisions to their job roles and locate the information that is of most relevance to them. The book has become a key reference guide for the seafaring industry defining roles and levels of responsibility on-board ship.

We also produced translated versions of this guide book design in Russian and Spanish.
